Peter Returns to the Sea of Galilee
Simon Peter denied three times that he knew Jesus on the night Jesus was captured. Therefore, Peter was so ashamed to see Jesus when He resurrected. ‘What kind of a disciple am I? I am just a fisherman. I should go back to a life of fishing again.’
Peter went back to the Sea of Galilee with his net after being gone a long time. He thought he was going to catch a lot of fish in his boat, but he didn’t catch a single one all night.

Listening to Jesus’ Voice
At that time, Jesus came looking for Peter and had breakfast with him. Then He asked Peter. “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?’
Even though Peter had denied Jesus and left his position as a disciple to return to fishing, he couldn’t deny that he loved Jesus in his heart.
“Yes, Lord. You know that I love you, Jesus.” Jesus then said to Peter.
“Feed my lambs.” Jesus told Peter three times to feed His sheep.
Anyone who listens to Satan’s voice will be in trial. On the contrary, listening to Jesus’ voice gives us strength. Peter also gained strength in his heart as he listened to Jesus. Now, whatever difficulty or lack that was in Peter’s heart became nothing compared to the love and grace of Jesus.

Peter the Powerful Servant of God
Afterwards, Peter preached the gospel to many people on the day of Pentecost. First, three thousand and later five thousand people were saved by listening to the gospel that Peter preached. Also, through Peter, God revealed His power to heal and raise the lame man.
At that time, the high priests and the rulers of the Jews all gathered and threatened Peter.
“Do not speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.”
Then Peter and John said,
“Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
The rulers of the Jews were unable to do anything to Peter and John because of the people, so they threatened them again and let them go.
All those who were saved received God’s grace. However, they also faced trials and difficulties. But if God’s grace is greater and Jesus is greater in our hearts, we can overcome all trials and difficulties. Surely, God is an almighty God, but sometimes we feel that the difficulties are bigger than God in our heart. God gives us difficulties so we can overcome them by the name of Jesus and have our faith grow, but we look at the difficulties and think it is easier to give up.
Spiritual life is not believing in yourself; it is believing in Jesus. No matter what problems we have, there is no problem that cannot be solved with Jesus. However, if we face the hardships without Jesus, then it becomes a real problem because we cannot solve them on our own.

The Same Peter
Even though it was the same person, when Peter looked at himself, the ‘Peter’ he saw and the ‘Peter’ Jesus saw was very different. Peter had denied Jesus, abandoned the life of a disciple and went to the sea of Galilee. But, Jesus came and talked to him. At that time, Peter was able to meet the heart of Jesus and receive a new heart.
When Peter sees himself through his own thoughts, he is a person that cannot do anything. But if he sees himself from Jesus’ side, he is a powerful servant of God. Peter had many thoughts that Satan had put in his heart, but now his heart had changed through the words of Jesus.

If We Look to Jesus Without Making Decisions Based on Our Hasty Thought
The same goes for the sins that we commit. If we think about Jesus, nothing becomes a problem. The reason Jesus died was to deliver us from sin. Jesus’ death freed us from all of our wrongdoings.
We all make many mistakes, but even though we make a mistake, we can become like Peter by receiving the grace of Jesus. When we have a problem, when we make mistakes and sin, we must receive God’s grace in Jesus. If we look to Jesus without making decisions based on our hasty thoughts, we can all become like Peter.
